Description
The Quetschi vases are part of a series of works based on a squashed cross-connection of aluminum tubes. These connections are usually necessary to create stability or specific shapes, but often they are used purely as a stylistic element.
The squashed surfaces are created using a self-made workshop press. The squashing process creates brute forces that can lead to cracks and fractures in the material; these are considered intentional imperfections.
