Theresa Hattinger

Theresa Hattinger, works in Vienna as an artist and designer primarily with language, signage and textiles. She studied graphic design, stage design and illustration mostly at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. She has shown numerous site-specific works in public space—ranging from minimal interventions to projects that spanned over an entire city. She has worked and collaborated on stage designs for experimental, performative theatre and urban exploration projects, published a children‘s book, works as a designer in the field of editorial and exhibition design and collectively runs an offspace in Vienna. She has exhibited in Austria, Germany, Cuba and Argentina. Her work is represented in the collections of the Museum of Applied Arts Vienna, the Province of Salzburg and the Austrian National Library. Her work focuses on formally reduced yet conceptually complex communication: bold, graphic forms and strong colours merge into concept-oriented works.
